Suruhanjaya Koperasi Malaysia (SKM) basic goal is to strengthen the cooperative sector to enable it to contribute significantly to economic growth mainly provide financial assistance to small businesses and business owners are cooperative . SKM is responsible for ensuring the financial and operational aspects of the cooperative in a systematic and stable. Financial assistance can be channeled through two funds created position of Co-operative Deposit Account (CDA) and the Cooperative Liquidity Fund (CLF). CDA requires a cooperative store excess money into the CDA not in other accounts. CLF also are funds accumulated through the prescribed percentage and must be deposited by the cooperative. Cooperatives are in desperate need of financial assistance can apply for a loan from the fund.
