The Johor Biotechnology and Biodiversity Corporation (J-BioTech) is a statutory organization under the Johor State Government. J-BioTech was established on October 23, 2005 under the supervision of the Johor State Economic Planning Unit (UPENJ) and known as the General Johor Biotechnology and Biodiversity. The main objective of J-BioTech is to make the state of Johor as a center of research and commercialization of Malaysia's biggest biotechnology and biodiversity through research and development (R & D) in the areas of agriculture, animal husbandry, health care and industry.
