Polytechnic Metro Kuala Lumpur (PMKL) commenced operations on 1 January 2011 Polytechnic is a polytechnic to 28 established under the management of Polytechnic Studies Department (IRD) of the Ministry of Higher Education. Polytechnic Metro Kuala Lumpur is Malaysia's first metro Polytechnic. Starting with the temporary campus at Polytechnic Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah, Shah Alam, students begin their studies at PMKL inaugural session in December 2010 with a total enrollment of 24. The first program offered is a Diploma in Retail Management.
